The US National Committee on Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (USNC/TAM) has initiated a new Public Lecture Series on Mechanics. The first lecture will be given by Adam Steltzner of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory on April 17th at the National Academies Building in Washington DC at 5 PM. The talk is titled "Success and Failure on Mars: Mechanics in the Exploration of Space".
